Y Type Strainers

  • Most cost effective, Y strainer uses perforated wire-mesh or wedge wire to trap unwanted solids from a process stream. Y strainer can be mounted vertically or horizontally in a piping system strainer are low cost solution to large nominal bore straining requirements.
  • Y strainer are commonly used in pipelines to prevent damage of Gauges, pumps, control valves, Flow meters and other process equipment.
  • Fabricated Y strainers from 2” to 48” (larger sizes are available)
  • Designed in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. I
  • Standard design pressures include 150psi, 300psi till 15000 psi (Higher pressure available on request).
  • Strainers available in CS,CSRL,SS304,SS316,Duplex,Super Duplex.

Y Strainer shall be designed and manufactured to meet ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3 or ASME B31.4 and/or ASME Section VIII Div. 1. The Strainer body shall be fabricated steel or other specified material. The screen shall be size perf Stainless Steel. The strainer shall have a bolted cover furnished with a drain connection and plug as standard.
